BIOS
ALIA BEETON (vocals): Alia's background is in classical and modern dance, choreography and musical theater. She is a performer on stage and screen, a humor essayist, a documentary film producer and editor, a mother, an occasional handywoman, and a professional bio writer- but only for this one webpage. While fairly conversational in French, don't be fooled- she sings it better than she speaks it. She's still resting on the laurels of an ancient high-school award for "Best French Accent." In reality she communicates like a toddler when faced with actual French people.
CHRIS MIANO (guitar): You know him from Tall Toad Music and bands around the Bay. He is not only a solid & sought after musician, he's a truly stand-up fellow, well loved in the community. He runs Tall Toad, but he also runs everywhere else- the dude puts in many miles a day pounding the pavements of Petaluma. Sure, he has finger-lickin' guitar licks and an easy-breezy nature, but best of all he's the absolute king of punctuality.
HEIDI GRAINGER (drums, vocals): Besides being deep in the pocket of The Beguilers beat, Miss Heidi is a famous rockstar for the under 5 crowd of Sonoma County. She co-facilitates Animal Music, a beloved Petaluma-based farm-friendly music program for littles. She's an amazing resource for parents, too, offering talks, classes and support groups using the Hand in Hand parenting method. Heidi co-runs the acupuncture clinic Russell Family Acupuncture, and boy oh boy does she know her way around insurance billing. Just living that rockstar drummer life! Everyone thinks Heidi missed her calling as a famous comedian, but lucky for us she's only famous enough to be the life of every party she attends.
DAVE RUSSELL (guitar): Dave is an award-winning acupuncturist and Chinese medicine practitioner by day, and an infuriatingly humble guitar god after the sun goes down. He has all the chops without all the ego, and we love him for it. He's good at most everything he tries (damn him) and is interested in all manner of things (an eternally curious student of life.) Dave's easy to please but even easier to tease. He's such a good sport! "Aww, shucks" and "C'moooon" are Dave's fave refrains.
PATRICK KELLY (bass): While he messes around with plenty of other bands (naughty Patty!), The Beguilers has been #blessed to have Patrick be our badass bassist since our inception in 2016. If he ever moves cities to do his nerdy computer genius job elsewhere, we'll be ever so distraught. (Don't ever leave us, Patches!) Patrick has the best deadpan and the best ideas and the best hair.
